Charles Birch

Louis Charles Birch (Melbourne, 8 februari 1918 - 19 december 2009) was een Australisch geneticus, die was gespecialiseerd in de populatie-ecologie. Hij was ook bekend als theoloog en was winnaar van de Templeton Prize in 1990, voor zijn werk over de intrinsieke waarde van alle vormen van leven.

Birch was verbonden aan de universiteit van Sydney als hoogleraar zoölogie in 1960-63 en hoogleraar biologie in 1963-83.
