Eleutherodactylus is een geslacht van kikkers uit de familie Eleutherodactylidae. Ze behoorden lange tijd tot de familie Leptodactylidae en de Brachycephalidae. De soorten worden vaak fluitkikkers genoemd, maar er is nog geen eenduidige Nederlandse naam. De meeste soorten blijven kleiner dan 4 centimeter. De mannetjes maken ondanks de geringe lengte een enorm kabaal met de kwaakblaas, voornamelijk in de paartijd. Een groot aantal soorten produceert een fluitachtige lokroep, die kilometers ver te horen is, echter niet allemaal. Enkele soorten zijn uitgezet, en bedreigen van nature voorkomende kikkers.
Uiterlijk lijken ze op boomkikkers (Hylidae); klein, een gladde huid, vaak zwemvliezen tussen de tenen en hechtschijfjes eronder, zodat ze goed kunnen klimmen. Het zijn erg actieve diertjes en sommige soorten hebben een enorme verspreidingsdichtheid tot wel 20.000 exemplaren per hectare.
Het geslacht Eleutherodactylus is een zeer soortenrijk geslacht; er zijn ongeveer 200 soorten en er komt er regelmatig eentje bij. De soorten uit dit geslacht worden nog wel eens per ongeluk geïmporteerd omdat sommige soorten de eieren aan (gekweekte) planten vastmaken.
