Kamala Lopez (New York City) is een Amerikaanse actrice, filmproducente, filmregisseuse, filmeditor en scenarioschrijfster.

Lopez is ook actief onder de namen Kamala Lopez-Dawson en Kamala Dawson.

Biografie

Lopez heeft haar jeugd doorgebracht in Venezuela omdat haar moeder daar vandaan komt. Ze studeerde op de Yale-universiteit af in theater en filosofie. Ze is een voormalige bestuurster van Yale voor de Hollywood Festival of Film.

Lopez begon met acteren in 1986 met de televisieserie Miami Vice. Hierna heeft ze nog meerdere rollen gespeeld in televisieseries en televisiefilms zoals Tour of Duty (1989-1990), 21 Jump Street (1989-1990), The Eddie Files (1995-2000), Resurrection Blvd. (2000-2001) en Medium (2005-2007).
