Congratulations![brontekst bewerken]

(I am sorry, but I am a shamefully typical English monoglot: William of Orange’s language is as strange to me as William the Conqueror’s.)

An anonymous reader of the English-language wikipedia pointed this list out. I did some spot-checks on some of the more implausible-seeming entries (like Bastardo del Grappa) and, discovering that they were indeed real Italian cheeses, copied the list over to en:List of Italian cheeses, citing this article as the original source. Ideally I would like to expand that reference by citing the source(s) of this list. (http://www.prodottitipici.com/prodotti/00/01/00/14/Formaggi-e-Latte.htm, for instance?) If you can provide any sources, please let me know at en:User talk:Ian Spackman.

So far I think I have only added a couple of names to the English version of the list—you might or might not want to include them here. Since 1964 it has not been legal to market an Italian cheese under the name Reblochon, which is registered as a name for the French cheese; but two names under which it has been sold are Reblò alpino and Rebruchon.
