Polypedates is een geslacht van kikkers uit de familie schuimnestboomkikkers (Rhacophoridae).[1] De groep werd voor het eerst wetenschappelijk beschreven door Johann Jakob von Tschudi in 1838. Oorspronkelijk werd de wetenschappelijke naam Polypedotes gebruikt.
Er zijn 23 soorten die voorkomen in grote delen van zuidoostelijk Azië inclusief de Filipijnen en Borneo.[2]
Het aantal soorten verandert regelmatig; in 2011 werden nog twee soorten beschreven en de soort Polypedates ranwellai is pas sinds 2012 bekend.
