Line of Fire Rotterdam 1940 Bombing

One of the photos I shoot this year was on the Remembrance of the Rotterdam (The Netherlands) 1940 bombing by Nazi Germany. A huge part of the city was destroyed and burning. On the 15th of May 2007 this line of fire was symbolised by more than 100 lights. This picture was made from the Erasmus bridge. Trebaxus 14 jun 2007 16:03 (CEST)

DMZ South Korean side

Notes for dead and lost relatives because of the separation between North and South Korea. This bridge is now closed, but was a way for many North Koreans to try to escape to the South. Many of them who tried died and are rememberd by their families at this fence at the end of the bridge through the DMZ.
