Demmings speelt voornamelijk bijrollen als agenten, artsen en brandweermannen. Zijn bekendste rol is die van Gerald Jackson in NCIS waar hij twee seizoenen medisch assistent was van 'Ducky' Mallard. Hij speelde in tal van bekende series maar altijd als gastacteur.
