Christiaan Huygens was a Dutch physicist with a major scientific influence in the era before Isaac Newton. His contributions to modern science include the Huygens-Fresnel principle, the explanation of the aspects of Saturn in terms of a ring system and a vision of extra-terrestrial life.

Hello there, thanks for visiting my old page, now I work internationally as User:Hansmuller. I am a physicist/astronomer/archivist/teacher living in Utrecht, The Netherlands.[1][2][3][4] My interests include science, history and art. Through November 2013- March 2015, i was a Dutch so-called Wikipedian in special Residence with eleven specialised Dutch libraries. From May - November 2015 I serve as Wikipedian in residence at Naturalis Biodiversity Center in Leiden, The Netherlands (linked page in Dutch, English version to be done).
