The Piccola was indeed composed late in WW1 but it was then rather substantially revised in 1945 after all printed unsold copies of the original version were destroyed together with F.E.C. Leuckart's printing plates in bombings. According to Finkel (2015) ("The Revised Versions of Kurt Atterberg's Symphonies", PDF from musikforsking.se), Atterberg wrote (translating), "amongst others my Sinfonia Piccola undertook an ascension" ELSchissel (overleg) 29 aug 2020 06:55 (CEST)
