Eens in de drie jaar lopen de bureaucraten alle botaccounts met botstatus af om de activiteit te controleren. Als een botaccount langer dan drie jaar geen bewerkingen heeft gemaakt op de Nederlandstalige Wikipedia, wordt de boteigenaar geïnformeerd. Boteigenaren die de botbit willen behouden mogen dit, ongeacht activiteit, en doen dat door dat aan te geven op deze pagina. Bij het uitblijven van een reactie wordt drie maanden na het informeren de botstatus verwijderd. Om te voorkomen dat uw bot wegens inactiviteit zijn botbit verliest, plaats de handtekening (~~~~) van uw hoofd- of botaccount in de kolom naast de naam van uw bot. Every three years the bureaucrats will check all bot accounts with a bot flag for their activity. If a bot account hasn't edited the Dutch Wikipedia for at least three years, the owner of the bot will be informed. If a bot owner wants to retain the bot flag they can do so, regardless of activity, by confirming their account on this page. The bot flag will be removed if there is no response after three months. To avoid losing the bot flag of your inactive bot, please post a signature (~~~~) next to your bot's account name using either your main or bot account.
