De man met de hoge hoed, op de foto links vóór de paardentram, is Neville Davison Goldsmid (1814-1875), oprichter van 'The Dutch Tramway Company Ltd', welke de paardentramlijn tussen Scheveningen en Den Haag exploiteerde.
