English: NASA astronaut Michael Good, STS-132 mission specialist, uses virtual reality hardware in the Space Vehicle Mock-up Facility at NASA's Johnson Space Center to rehearse some of his duties on the upcoming mission to the International Space Station. This type of virtual reality training allows the astronauts to wear a helmet and special gloves while looking at computer displays simulating actual movements around the various locations on the station hardware with which they will be working. David Homan assisted Good.
Français : L'astronaute de la NASA Michael Good, spécialiste de mission STS-132, utilise du matériel de réalité virtuelle pour s'entrainer à virtuellement conduire une maquette d'un véhicule spatial au Johnson Space Center de la NASA. Il répète les gestes qu'il aura à faire lors d'une prochaine mission à la Station spatiale internationale. Lors de ces entrainements "en réalité virtuelle" les astronautes portent un casque et des gants spéciaux tout en regardant une simulation d'environnement (faite par ordinateur) simulant également les les mouvements qu'ils ont à faire dans les différents lieux de la station dans laquelle ils vont travailler.
