I used both the Upload Wizard and python scripts to do these uploads.
I am also working on Wikimedia projects. I have been selected in GSoC 2017 for contributing to a Wikimedia project. You can find my GSoC 2017 proposal here. Related project tasks I have worked on can be found here which is a subtask of this task.
