De Gomphotheriidae is een familie van uitgestorvenslurfdieren (ook wel Proboscidea genoemd), die nauw verwant waren aan de mastodonten. Soms worden de gomphotheriën ook wel als mastodonten aangeduid. Ongeveer 10.000-12.000 jaar geleden stierven de gomphotheriën uit, samen met veel andere grote zoogdieren.
