There is a little problem with the names of two of the provinces of Galicia: in Spanish (Castilian) it's "La Coruña" and "Orense", and in Galician "A Coruña" and "Ourense". Are the names "La Coruña" but "Ourense" standard in Dutch or is it a mistake?

There are no Dutch names for these places, and Dutch therefore has to use "the" local name. Since there are two names in this case, a Spanish and a Galician one, we have to choose here. My choice would be the Spanish name (not only for La Coruña, but also for Orense), because these are better known than their Galician counterparts. Fransvannes 31 okt 2003 11:30 (CET)[reageer]
