Beschrijving常願寺川砂防工事.jpg	日本語: 説明文に「常願寺川は源を立山に発し上新川中新川両郡の間を流れ灌漑の利甚だ多しと雖安政五年の出水以来土砂の流出止まず漸次河床を高め水勢急激にして比年氾濫の患あり内務省雇工師ヨハネス、デレーケの如きは曾て「川にあらず、瀧なり」と評せり明治二十四年より同二十六年に亙り同工師の設計に依り百余万円の巨費を投じて河身改修を行ひ猶ほ明治三十九年より更に二十年の計劃を以て上流湯川に砂防工事を施すの計なり現下其工事進行中なり」とあり
