Beschrijving
English: coin is dedicated to 85th anniversary of Vasyl Sukhomlynsky (28.09.1918 - 02.09.1970), the innovative Ukrainian pedagogue and teacher. Being the author of numerous scientific works (including "My heart is given to children") and many fiction books for children, he devoted all his life to children. 33 years he worked as a director of Pavliv secondary school in Kirovohrad region, cultivating civil dignity and faith in good essence of a human being and bringing up children to love their native land. On the coin reverse there is a portrait of Vasyl Sukhomlynsky, to the left there is a depiction of a pen holder and his years of life: 1918-1970; to the right there is a semi-circular inscription: В. О. СУХОМЛИНСЬКИЙ.
