The base pairing to the complementary strand ("Crick") is shown in gray. The orientation (5'-3'), numberings, and transitions to unillustrated parts (wave lines) of the dsDNA molecule are also shown in gray. The blue labeling of eponymeous parts (cytosine-phosphate-guanine) results in the lettering "CpG".
Deutsch: Schematische Darstellung eines CpG-Dinukleotids als Abschnitt eines doppelsträngigen DNA-Moleküls (dsDNA). Das eigentliche CpG-Dinukleotid (5'-Desoxycytidin-Phosphat-Desoxyguanosin-3 ') auf dem angegebenen Strang ("Watson") ist schwarz dargestellt.
