Beschrijving

Beschrijving Entitled "First Iron railway bridge", this is the bridge over the River Gaunless on the Stockton and Darlington Railway, designed by George Stephenson. Originally there were three sections, but a fourth was added in 1824.

Auteur Uncredited copy of a drawing first published in the Engineer in 1875, and published as detailed above in 1915. Most of the images in Tomlinson are credited with authors.
