	Vlaams gemeentewapen Deze afbeelding toont een wapen (coat of arms) van een Vlaamse gemeente of provincie. Deze wapens zijn geregistreerd bij het Vlaamse Heraldische Raad [1]. Het wapen behoort tot het publiek domein van een stad of gemeente. Het gebruik van dit wapen voor reclamedoeleinden is strikt verboden. Artikel 184 van het Vlaamse strafrecht stelt dat misbruik van of vervalsen van een zegel kan worden gestraft met een gevangenisstraf van drie maanden tot drie jaar. Een poging om een zegel ter misbruik van te maken, wordt gestraft met een gevangenisstraf van een maand en een jaar. Het gebruik van zegels door particulieren, particuliere instellingen of verenigingen is alleen toegestaan als de gemeenteraad officieel toestemming heeft gegeven hiervoor. Zie bijvoorbeeld [2].
