English: Vice Admiral Ajit Kumar P, Commandant, INA watering the sapling after planting it during the tree plantation drive. On the occasion of the World Environmental Day, overwhelming participation from the Naval Community including children at INA Ezhimala truly demonstrated wholehearted commitment of the Naval community to ‘Go-Green’. As part of the afforestation drive and ‘Go-Green’ endeavor, the station planted over 30,000 plants and saplings of various types, like fruit bearing, non fruit-bearing, medicinal & herbal plants and decorative plants. The saplings were provided free of cost by the Social Forest Division of Kerala Forest Department, Kannur.
