I am afraid this one does not work.... at least not for me.

• The repoussoir is usually dark, the background light. In this case it is reversed, due to flashlight.
• If the repoussoir should have a color, it should be warm (eg red). In this case, behind the blue subject you see a red color, which pushes forward.

What you see here is an example of dieptescherpte in photography, I do not know the English word for this. ... I must find a better example to illustrate this article. Sorry, Elly 19 jun 2006 16:40 (CEST)
