y which we have published recently. Inconnection with the motor the Hill precision oiler, drivenmechanically by the engine, is used. The ignition is with anExide storage battery, though the motor is so wired that a setof dry cells may be used in case of emergency. The transmission is of the friction type and the car maybe driven either forward or backward. The connection tothe drive axle is by a Morse silent chain. The control of thecar is by two levers, placed conveniently in front of theoperator and mounted on the same post with brake wheel.One lever governs the amount of gas entering the cylindersof the motor through the carbureter and the other levertimes the ignition. Ordinarily the car would be geared for 30miles per hour with full load on level track. The frame of the car is of heavy channels, and the bodyis suspended on long semi-elliptic springs. The wheels areof cast steel, mounted on steel axles with Hyatt roller bear-ings. Brakes are provided on all four wheels. The car is
