National Information Standards Organization (NISO) een Amerikaanse non-profitorganisatie die technische normen publiceert over bibliografische en bibliotheek-toepassingen.
Veelal Amerikaanse bedrijven en universiteiten zijn lid van deze organisatie.
De namen van NISO normen beginnen met "ANSI/NISO Z39.".[4]
