Overleg:Lijst van marinevlaggen van de wereld

Ik wil binnenkort de lijst inkrimpen tot alleen die landen die een marine of een grenswacht met een eigen maritieme vlag hebben. Van de overige landen komt onderaan een thumbnail - Quistnix 18 feb 2006 14:30 (CET)

Ik stel voor de onderdelen onder de vlaggen ook te verwijderen (zoals Historische vlaggen) en dit ook bij Handelsvlaggen van de wereld te doen. Deze staan namelijk al in Vlaggen van de Wereld en het lijkt me niet handig om drie pagina's te updates wanneer er bijvoorbeeld toevoegingen zijn. Daarnaast lijkt het me wellicht nuttig om een apart artikel te maken waarin de nationale vlaggen op een rij staan (paragraaf 1 van Vlaggen van de wereld dus) en in het artikel Vlaggen van de wereld alleen tekstlinks naar alle vlaggen te maken, zodat dat artikel nog meer als een overzichtsartikel/startpunt gaat fungeren (en sneller geladen is). Ik ben benieuwd naar je mening hierover.Ninane 30 mrt 2006 18:38 (CEST)

Some questions

Several of the states shown do not have any navy or coast guard or the like, as far as I know: Afghanistan, Armenië, Kirgizië, Lesotho, Liechtenstein, Monaco, Swaziland, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan.

I'm not sure about Bosnia-Hercegovina, Botswana, Burkina Faso, Central African Republic, Luxemburg (would probably use the civil ensign), Niger.

The following flags are wrong or dubious: Azerbeidzjan (probably ceremonial flag for land use, and not ensign), Bolivia (all boats I have seen use the state flag or the simple national flag), China (national flag is also or preferably used), Myanmar (always problematic), Ukraine (national flag is not war ensign, but the two other ones called geus are the correct war ensigns), Saudi-Arabia (national flag is used as war ensign; the shown flag is probably a ceremonial flag only), Slovenia (shown flag is the jack/geus), Tanzania (a war ensign is reported: white ensign with national flag in canton), Venezuela (the variant with the arms is the war ensign), Switzerland (square version is used by the "Swiss navy", i.e. the army patrol boats on the major lakes).

This page may have incorrect or dubious flags on it, and with flags, much of the information is either outdated, or misinterpreted. We could start by bringing the countries that have no navy or coast guard / border patrol boats to the list at the bottom of the page, and make a note at the bottom with a link from all dubious flags. Please help me with any information you have, because I made this page from scratch, and I can use all the help I can get - Quistnix 1 apr 2006 22:04 (CEST)
