In reply to your comments, I would like to remark: 1) I do not agree that calendrical questions are simple (for instance, how do you explain the difference between the metonic cycle and metonic lunar cycles?). 2) I intend to provide the reader with relevant additional information on the subject in an as concise and clear as possible way and on the source of this information (the information has to be clear, and does not need explanation then, my references are no more than what they have to be, simply references for the scientific foundations). 3) My only interest is the maintrack of the history of the science of ‘computus paschalis’. 4) This track concerns only Metonic 19-year lunar cycles and 532-year paschal cycles superponed on them in the framework of the Julian calendar. 5) This track begins with Anatolius and leads via the archetypal Alexandrian 19-year lunar cycle constructed by anonymous Alexandrian computists of the first quarter of the fourth century to successively Theophilus, Annianus, Cyrillus, Dionysius Exiguus, and Beda, and subsequently straight to the much more complicated computus in the framework of the Gregorian calendar.
