Continued promopushing for an artist[brontekst bewerken]

Hello 24.84.245.60 (overleg | bijdragen | verwijderde bijdragen | massaal verwijderen | logboek | blokkeren) or Tiranious (overleg | bijdragen | verwijderde bijdragen | massaal verwijderen | logboek | blokkeren), A checkuser performed this morning upon my request concluded you are one and the same. The checkuser was performed since you tried and retried to place a promotional article on the Dutch languaged Wikipedia and also elsewhere and also asked some one else to assist you via another account, Bamshadan (overleg | bijdragen | verwijderde bijdragen | massaal verwijderen | logboek | blokkeren) which is considered meatpuppetry. This is not considered to be good practice. I explained the proper procedures and ways to act on my talk page. I suggest you adhere to the policies at hand. You can find the explanation on my talk page here and also below now here copied for your convenience. I also place this explanation on the pagina of Bamshadan so he/she is informed as well. Kind regards, MoiraMoira overleg 31 dec 2008 10:37 (CET)Reageren

Guity Novin / Guity Novin (Navran)[brontekst bewerken]

Dear Moira,

I am one of the students of Guity Novin, who tried to create an article in Dutch. But it has been deleted. Given that there has been a campaign to eliminate all references to her works in her native land (mainly due to her feminist works), I wonder why her works has been deleted. Respectfully yours.--Tiranious 31 dec 2008 00:40 (CET)Reageren

The page about this person has been removed regularily already after 2 weeks evaluation. Recreating it under another name and pushing it with other accounts not the way to act. The comments on the retried article before it was discovered it had been already removed after evaluation read: "cross-wiki aangemaakt, promo-achtige tekst met mogelijk misbruik van sokpoppen bij verwijderen sjabloon, kreupel machinetaalachtig taalgebruik, geen externe bronnen of referenties die encyclopediewaardigheid ondersteunen, niet neutraal". Also cross-wiki promotion is not the way to achievee acceptance but will result in raised eyebrows wikiwide. The artist in question can read/write Dutch so I suggest she thoroughly reads the f.a.q. on my talk page, butterfly 3. and 5. Please take note that already half of the cross wiki promotion tries with similar accounts and/or IP-adress made (all one-issue contributors) have been removed in the mean time as well. This is not the way to act on Wikipedia I am afraid to say. Wikipedia is not there as a possibility to gain fame or to sell paintings but only to neutrally describe encyclopedically worthwhile topics. The articles created unfortunately did not reflect this at all. Whether this artist deserves a place on Wikipedia is not the question here, the problem was the continuous cross-wiki pushing with substandard promotional articles often without proper content and they were judged not at all to be encyclopedic in content. Also the misuse of more accounts to try to push and keep the articles is not in the best interest of this artist at all I am afraid to conclude. Dear Moira, Thank you very much for your reply. The artist is an Iranian woman artist, who painted pictures of mythological and nude nymphs. This has caused the anger of the officials and she has been banded, and her paintings were removed. Also a number of people try to eliminate her works on the net. The artist has been our professor at university ( plese see the references in English wiki). She is 65 years old, and we wanted to present her with this article in Dutch as a birthday present. This is not a cross wiki promotion. If you Google her name you will find out that she has been an establishe artist more than 20 years ago. As a cat lover,I hope you will be kind enough to look at this matter more carefully. All the best, --Bamshadan 31 dec 2008 19:35 (CET)Reageren

Hi, the reply how to act can be found on my talk page in the faq. How ever - cross wiki promotion is not wished for nor misusing the encyclopedia to "give some one a birthday present". I do hope this person and those around her realise that respecting the encyclopedia is a better way to promote her good name than over and over again trying to get her on even more Wikipedia's than Rembrandt or Goya ever got. MoiraMoira overleg 31 dec 2008 20:21 (CET)Reageren
we hope that you are not part of the group of the Iranian zelots who want to remove her works from the internet altogether. It is sad that you have removed her works, exactly what they' ve done, and removed all her works from the public galleries. They also tried to do this in Other wikis but, thanks goodness for some great managers, they were not successful. I am sure that Rembrandt will be turning in his grave to hear that his great name is used to justify this sad act.Have a nice day --Bamshadan 31 dec 2008 21:41 (CET)Reageren
I hope that you can refrain from absurd accusations that have no relation at all to what I tried to make very very clear to you to no avail it seems. The notability or not of this person is not the issue, the issue is misusing the encyclopedia by placing cross wiki promotion articles - if this person is of encyclopedic value you have harmed her good name and reputation by your actions. Can I be bolder than this before it sinks in after all the explanations here and there? The sad act has not been done by any persons here but by you as meatpuppet and the IP addie and connected account by their writings. It is sad for the artist involved. Need I say more? Hmm, now that you have done their dirty works for them, you claim that you are trying to keep the good name of the artist in tact!! This had happend before, and when the situation was explained the civilized editors voted overwhelmly to maintain the article (See: [1] I'm sure some authorities are drinking to your health right now. Bravo sir!!--Bamshadan 31 dec 2008 23:11 (CET)Reageren
