Joost van Dyk

Apologies for writing in English, but unfortunately I do not speak Dutch. I am hopefully relying upon the fact that most people in Holland seem to speak perfect English. I have written an article on English Wikipedia on the Dutch privateer cum pirate Joost van Dyk (or van Dijk). However, as I don't speak Dutch, I have relied upon all the secondary sources that I can find translated into English, which leaves big gaps in his life and career (birth, town of origin and death are key points that I cannot find out). I would welcome any assistance that anyone was able to render in relation to any of this. Many thanks. Legis
