This is the second time now you deleted pictures that go with the lemma Worm (rivier) from commons: pictures repeatedly uploaded and owned by the same user Gebruiker:Ruud Habets. Apparently the license policy on commons is so difficult to understand (for non-english speaking users) that people simply don't know how to determine the correct license to use. This, combined with the ever more frequent deletionist actions on commons, now constitutes a major hindrance to the transfer of images from the local wikis to commons. I'm going to try to seduce this user into uploading the pictures for a third time, but I'll advise him not to use commons in future. - gv 15 jul 2005 15:24 (CEST)Reageren

With all due respect, it would have been helpful if Ruud Habets had written that he had taken the pictures himself. Instead of simply uploading same photos without any information, he could have asked somebody for help. Thuresson, July 15, 19:08 CEST

With all due respect, it would have been even more helpful if you had not deleted the pictures for a second time within a week without discussing it with the uploader first. I didn't know about any discussion about this had taken place, my apologies about my previous remark about this on your talk page. As for Ruud Habets' contributions on commons: look for instance at commons:Image:LocatieStein.png, you'll find a remark "See: nl:Afbeelding:LocatieStein.png", which in turn reads: "Afbeelding gemaakt door gebruiker:Mtcv en vrij te gebruiken.", which translates to "Image created by user:Mtcv and free for use." This indicates a) a willingness by Ruud Habets to credit the source of material he uses (and is not his own), b) that the image's copyright status is not unknown and better still acceptable for usage on wiki, and finally c) a language problem or perhaps legal problems in interpreting/translating the dutch license.
