Greta Scacchi

Greta Scacchi, geboortenaam Gracco (Milaan, 18 februari 1960), is een in Italië geboren actrice die sinds 1995 Australisch staatsburger is. Ze won onder meer een Emmy Award voor haar rol in Rasputin (1996) en werd genomineerd voor onder meer een BAFTA Award (voor Heat and Dust, 1983) en een Golden Globe (voor Rasputin).

Scacchi werd geboren in Italië, maar verhuisde op haar tweede met haar ouders naar Engeland. In 1975 verkaste het gezin opnieuw, nu naar Australië. De geboren Italiaanse trouwde in 1991 met acteur Vincent D'Onofrio, met wie ze in 1992 dochter Leila George D'Onofrio kreeg. Het echtpaar scheidde in 1993. Scacchi beviel in oktober 1998 van zoontje Matteo, dat ze kreeg met Carlo Mantegazza, haar neef.
