De IndyCar Series 2013 is het achttiende kampioenschap van de IndyCar Series. De 97e Indianapolis 500 zal gehouden worden op 26 mei 2013. Dit seizoen zal worden gekenmerkt met een nieuwe race op de Pocono Raceway en een nieuwe race op het stratencircuit van Houston. Ten opzichte van 2012 zal er tijdens dit seizoen niet meer geracet worden op het Edmonton City Centre Airport in Canada. Ook staan er voor dit seizoen de zogenoemde "double header weekends" gepland, hierbij worden er in een race weekend twee wedstrijden op hetzelfde circuit gereden waarbij de eerste wedstrijd op zaterdag zal worden gehouden, en de tweede wedstrijd op zondag. Deze "double header weekends" zullen worden gehouden op het stratencircuit van Belle Isle, het stratencircuit van Toronto en het stratencircuit van Houston.
