Peter Mark Richman (Philadelphia (Pennsylvania), 16 april 1927) is een Amerikaanse acteur, filmproducent en scenarioschrijver.

Richman is ook actief onder de naam Mark Richman.

Biografie

Richman is een zoon van Benjamin Richman (schilder en behanger) en Yetta Dora Peck. Zijn middelbare school heeft hij doorlopen op de South Philadelphia High School. Hij behaalde zijn diploma in 1945. Hier was hij ook Fullback en aanvoerder in het American footballteam. Na twee jaar werd hij gedwongen hiermee te stoppen vanwege een ernstige knieblessure. Hierna ging hij naar University of the Sciences, hij heeft een licentie om het beroep van apotheker uit te oefenen in Pennsylvania en New York. Hij heeft één jaar een apotheek gerund en toen besloot hij om acteur te worden.

Richman is begonnen met acteren in 1953 met de televisieserie Suspense. Hierna heeft hij nog meerdere rollen gespeeld in televisieseries en films zoals The Strange One (1957), The United States Steel Hour (1956-1962), The Outer Limits (1963-1965), Agent for H.A.R.M. (1966), The Virginian (1963-1971), Mission: Impossible (1970-1972), McCloud (1970-1974), Police Story (1974-1976), Fantasy Island (1978-1983), Santa Barbara (1984), Dynasty (1981-1984), Defenders of the Earth (1986), The Naked Gun 2½: The Smell of Fear (1991), Beverly Hills, 90210 (1993-1994) en Spider-Man (1996).

Richman is op 10 mei 1953 getrouwd met Helen Richman en ze hebben samen vijf kinderen: Howard Bennett, Kelly Allyn, Lucas Dion, Orien en Roger Lloyd. Richman heeft als hobby kunstschilderen en geeft ook regelmatig tentoonstellingen van zijn werk. Hij is ook lid van het bestuur van het Motion Picture and Television Fund

Richman heeft in 1999 de televisiefilm 4 Faces geproduceerd en geschreven.
