Glyptothorax burmanicus is een straalvinnige vissensoort uit de familie van de zuigmeervallen (Sisoridae).^[2] De wetenschappelijke naam van de soort is voor het eerst geldig gepubliceerd in 1929 door Prashad & Mukerji.
