Hello. Sorry this is in English, but I have been curating photos on Commons and found that Redhead Day goes back to at least 1979. VPRO organized an event (in May month, not August) for people with red hair. See these photos: Presntatrice Djoeke Veeninga, Dag voor roodharigen van de VPRO and Enkele roodharigen op de landdag.
