Hi! As I undestand you running the Tuvicbot. Please check its settings for Estonian wiki sorting.

Here is little resorting I found was needed after bot's work: [1]. I'm doing sorting manually using JavaScript to help and the sorting list can be found here; can't claim that this 100% correct, but best efforts are made it to be, if you find mistakes, please let me know, thanks. Ok, I've looked at you interwiki-order, and at the order used by the pywikipediabot, the one that I use. I made use of your KTtools order to search for the differences: diff is here (Left= yours, Right= pywikipediabot).

I can make out a couple of differences:

• arc, ilo, lij = not present in pywikipedia
• ban = order is different, but wiki doesn't seem to be available
• bug, mt, kk, nap, nl, rm, war = order is different, yours is correct
• cv, to = order is different, pywikipedia is correct
• xal = neither one is correct
• nah = different, but I don't know which one is correct

This is what I can make out, but maybe I'm wrong at some points.

Now, what I'll do, is to notify the maintainers of the pywikipediabot to adapt the software for the bots, so everyone gets the same right version of the list. Until then, there can be little mistakes in the sorting order from time to time, for which I'm sorry. Other bots have this behavior also: as you can see in this edit of YurikBot. (look at nds-nl vs nl)

Sure, that sounds fine (about running the bot on the Ido Wikipedia). I assume you can just start without needing me to do anything that you can't do yourself? Oh, and BTW English is my first language so it's all right. I am learning Afrikaans now though and it's nice how that magically lets me read a lot of Netherlands too. af.wikipedia.org is a little bit small though, so that's too bad. I already got reaction from Fafnir at io:User talk:Fafnir, and my bot is running at the Ido Wikipedia now, making a testrun. (but, apparently, also flooding the io:Special:Recentchanges :-()

Afrikaans is actually a language that originated from Dutch, so is quite logical you can read some stuff here too :-).

Normally, in bigger Wikipedia's, there is a special page for requests for bot flags: in the Dutch Wikipedia, this is nl:Wikipedia:Aanmelding botgebruikers. I could not find such a page in this wiki, so I placed my request at ta:Wikipedia பேச்சு:தானியங்கிகள். Maybe this is not the right place for it. It is up to you people at ta-wikipedia to decide if you create a special page for requests or not.

Earlier, bot flags had to be requested at meta:, but now every local Bureaucrat can give bot-status with the page ta:Special:Makebot.

What I propose, is that you choose a place for the vote, and then alert the other users of it, maybe with an announcement in the local Village Pump or something like that.

Thanks for the reply. We will make such a bot request page in tamil wikipedia (or find out if one exists already!) and let u know. Usually, lot of useful bots are active in tamil wikipedia without obtaining permission or giving a mention. Ok, I'll check back later then. I always ask for permission to run my bot, because the bot is semi-automatic, and can really flood the recent changes in some smaller wikipedias.

I don't really know about nl:Leiden, because I'm from Belgium, where they speak Dutch too, but it's quite funny that you live so close :-) --Tuvic 18:20, 31 ஜூலை 2006 (UTC)

Please show examples of ur edits in other language wikipedias or ducth wikipedia and also the local bot status approval page at dutch wikipedia. bot on lb wikipedia

I will try to explain why your bot was blocked on lb wikipedia. First it has nothing to do with the job done by your bot. It is due to the fact that some time ago a bot policy was agreed in which it was foreseen that 3 admins have to agree in order to accept a bot. Now it happened that except one none of the admins reacted to the fact that you apllied for bot status. And finnally after a very intense day (Category discussions) one of th admins simply decided to block yur bot. I read the bot policy, and found it to be overly complex and way too strict (if I understood it correctly), but if you want such a policy, that your choise. Also, it's outdated, because one doesn't have to apply at meta anymore: the local bureaucrats can give botstatus at the local wikipedia now.

Also, I really don't understand why not a single admin (and 4 out of 5 were active the day I made my request) reacted upon the request, even not when I made the remark about the little reactions.

Futhermore, it would have also been nice if they just contacted me (here, of even at lb wiki) at my talk page: I would have been happy to stop the bot at any time.

Hello Tuvic. I am really sorry for that annoying order of events. As our policy requires the approval by three out of four (active) administrators I tried on several occasions to gather their agreement. To force a decisioun or a reaction I blocked the Bot (That's the very reason!!). I perfectly understand that this procedure "did not make a very good impression" on you. In order to get the situation to a happy ending I will give it the bot status today. If you have any remarks on this affair, don't hesitate to contact me at my discussion page on lb-Wikipedia. Well, it does not have to be today, but somewhere in the near future would be nice. It's very annoying having to wait forever for a decision, certainly if nothing happens. Also, I didn't get why only admins can decide if a flag is to be given. And more: why 60 percent of all admins (of 75) has to agree. That way, here at nl-wiki that would certainly not work.

Ha Tuvic, bedankt voor het reverten van mijn GP! Deze gebruiker zit mij overigens al langer dwars, getuige ook Overleg gebruiker:86.80.104.66, en ook toen maakte hij mij uit voor snol vanwege het verwijderen van een engelstalig artikel over een onbekend bandje ("Dice Rebels"). Gezien het feit dat de vandalistische edits de enige bijdragen van deze persoon zijn, denk ik dat een langere block wel gerechtvaardigd is, maar dat wilde ik zelf eigenlijk niet doen vanwege de betrokkenheid... als je het met me eens bent, zou jij dat dan kunnen doen? Hallo. Ik zie dat Afbeelding:TEE Northlander in Zwolle.JPG verwijderd is ? Dat is dan volgens mij ten onrechte gebeurd! Ik herinner me dat de maker van de foto op een later tijdstip heeft ingevuld dat het om eigen werk ging. Wel, de gebruiker die dat geupload heeft (Gebruiker:Meesterjos) heeft het één keer gewoon geupload, en daarna geupload met de tekst Deze foto is door mijzelf genomen in Zwolle. De man op de foto is mijn vader. als uploadboodschap. Hij/zij heeft echter geen licentie aan de afbeelding gegeven. Je zou misschien wel kunnen veronderstellen dat het daarmee vrijgegeven is als {{eigenwerk}} of onder {{ewmulti}}, maar dat stond er dus niet op. Het was dus een afbeelding zonder licentie. Ik kan deze wel terugzetten, maar dan is de licentie daarmee nog niet in orde. Misschien kan je MeesterJos eerst eens mailen met de vraag onder welke licentie hij de afbeelding wilde vrijgeven. --Tuvic 4 aug 2006 15:33 (CEST)

Wat doen we hiermee

Hoi Tuvic, Gebruiker:EffK die vandaag op Overleg:Adolf Hitler nogal drammerig erop stond dat we het lemma over Hitler aanpassen, blijkt op en:wikipedia al vanaf februari voor een jaar te zijn geblokkeerd na een uitspraak door de arbcom aldaar (zie hier). Mmm, serieuse lap tekst, en dan moet je zijn overlegpagina eens bekijken. Naar hetgeen ik kan vinden, lijkt het me iemand die nogal geobsedeerd zijn eigen theorie naar voren schuift, en dat met veel volharding doet. Ik zou deze gebruiker zeker in de gaten houden. Wel opletten, want de uitleg op zijn gebruikerspagina is erop gezet door een 'believer' nadat hij geblokt is. Tuganax-Afbeeldingen

Ik ben van plan een gepaste beschrijving te schrijven om de licenties te verklaren, de GNU-licentie die ik bij een aantal afbeeldingen heb gebruikt is soms mogelijk niet volledig correct, dit zal ik ook veranderen, gelieve de welbetreffende afbeeldingen daarom voorlopig zo te laten tot dinsdag. Ik verzeker u daarentegen dat al deze afbeeldingen een geldige licentie hebben om op Wikipedia toegelaten te worden. Tuganax 5 aug 2006 23:20 (CEST)

U heeft 2 weken om dat te doen. Al vraag ik me wel sterk af of dat zal lukken: afbeeldingen hier moeten ook voor commercieel gebruik worden vrijgegeven, dus zodat iedereen ze mag gebruiken voor commerciële doeleinden. Verder zal toevoegen van licenties verifieerbaar moeten zijn: gewoon een sjabloon erop plakken zal dus niet werken. Ook moet van elke afbeelding de bron en de maker vermeld worden. Ik ben benieuwd, want ik vraag me toch sterk af hoe je bijvoorbeeld op deze afbeelding een aanvaardbare licentie kan kleven. (all rights reserved en zo ...) --Tuvic 6 aug 2006 11:37 (CEST)

Ik kwam net min of meer toevallig op de pagina van de Kaiser Chiefs terecht. Nou bedacht ik me: Er is in Zuid-Afrika een voetbalclub en die heet Kaizer Chiefs. Niet geheel toevallig, overigens. Maar goed, het leek mij een goed idee om bovenaan de pagina (i.i.g. van Kaiser Chiefs, later ook op Kaizer Chiefs) het sjabloon te plaatsen met daarin de informatie: "Bedoelt u misschien Kaizer Chiefs?" Alleen, ik weet niet welke dat is, vandaar dat ik het maar aan jou ben gaan vragen. Weet jij dat toevallig (uit je hoofd)? Ik heb nog gekeken op Wikipedia:Sjablonen voor gebruikersboodschappen, maar daar kon ik het niet vinden... Ik zou het heel fijn vinden als je mij zou kunnen helpen. Alvast bedankt!

Ik had eigenlijk aangenomen dat het onmiddelijk op zou vallen: ko: hoort alfabetisch bij de k, niet bij de h. Voor de duidelijkheid: de interwiki is alfabetisch op code, waarbij in het Fries i en y gelijkgesteld worden behalve wanneer twee verder geheel gelijke teksten, hier de code's, geordernd moeten worden. Ik, ik heb eens in de code gekeken, en er staan inderdaad een paar foutjes in. Nu, de meeste bots gebruiken het pywikipedia-framework, en hebben die foutjes dus ook. Oplossing hiervoor is dat te melden aan de pywikipedia-developers. Nu, ik heb de volgorde aangepast in mijn eigen bot aan de hand van jouw richtlijnen, maar ik zou toch graag hebben dat je de volgorde nog even nakijkt:
