Michael Giacchino

Michael Giacchino (Riverside, 10 oktober 1967) is een Amerikaanse componist die soundtracks heeft gemaakt voor succesvolle films, televisieseries en computerspellen. Hij behaalde zijn diploma aan de School of Visual Arts in New York City.

Met zijn soundtracks won hij al verscheidene prijzen, waaronder in 2004 voor het spel Call of Duty. In 2005 won hij een Emmy Award voor zijn soundtrack van Lost. In hetzelfde jaar werd hij twee keer genomineerd voor een Grammy Award voor The Incredibles.
In 2010 won hij een Academy Award (of Oscar) voor de muziek die hij schreef voor de film Up.
