Prunella Scales CBE (Sutton Abinger (Surrey), 22 juni 1932) is een Brits actrice. Ze is in Nederland en België vooral bekend geworden door haar rol als Sybil Fawlty in de komedie Fawlty Towers.

Haar echte naam is Prunella Margaret Rumney Illingworth. Ze trouwde in 1963 met Timothy West en heeft twee zoons, Samuel (acteur en regisseur) en Joseph. Sinds het begin van de jaren '60 heeft ze vele (voornamelijk komische) rollen gespeeld. Ze speelde gastrollen in onder meer series als Bergerac, Never the Twain, Dalziel and Pascoe en Midsomer Murders.
