I would love for someone to cover the Shorttrack schaatsen world cup in Dordrecht, which is from February 10 to February 12: https://www.optisport.nl/dordrecht-oud/world-cup-shorttrack-2023

I'm a terrible photographer and it's killing me that most pro skaters are either not illustrated on Wikipedia or illustrated with a blurry smartphone photo taken at an early 2010s competition - I mean, even Xandra Velzeboer doesn't have a photo! I'll go and take my own blurry smartphone photos from the early 2020s if needed, but if anyone has any talent (and doesn't need hundreds of euros to travel there), it would probably be much better 🙂

You could most likely cover the cost of the entrance with a Wikimedia grant. It might also be possible to ask for a media pass, I've personally never tried. I'd be happy to sort through the photos before upload or during categorization, so if you don't know anything about the sport itself or who's good at it, it's fine: if you photograph as many people as possible, I can confirm who's on each photo once it's uploaded!

Hi Exilexi. You can post this question in English in the Wikipedia:Sportcafé. Virtually all Wikipedians can understand English, as Dutch and Belgian pupils learn it in school from the age of 12 (or even earlier). If I may make a suggestion, if you are noting (amateur) photographers, please ask them to upload their best photos on https://www.wikiportret.nl/ . You might even give them a small paper as a reminder. This is an easy way to make work available on Commons with a free licence. Volunteers of WP:Wikiportret wil take action following these uploads and include the photos on the scater articles (if permission for free licencing is correct). Duplicate categories

@Ellywa, Chescargot, Dqfn13, StuivertjeWisselen: Categorie:Apostolische Kerk and Categorie:Apostolisch kerkgenootschap seem to serve the same purpose. Am I wrong? And if I am right, what should I do to merge them?

@Veverve: you can compare the situation to en:Category:Protestantism and en:Category:Protestant denominational families. The first is about everything related to the religion. For example people, schools, etc. The other is about the church groups that exist within the religion. As you can see by my example, it is not uncommon for such categories to exist. This one is simply smaller. One of the articles in Categorie:Apostolische Kerk, Het Boek voor onze tijd, is about a book. Mediaset

Why would you want to split the current article in two articles? I understand MediaForEurope is the holding company in which Mediaset Italia S.p.A. (Italy), Mediaset España Comunicación, S.A. (Spain) and ProSiebenSat.1 Media SE (Germany) sit. So I can imagine we need three articles in total (excluding ProSiebenSat as it has an article already). As for Mediaset Italia S.p.A., what was used to be Mediaset is effectively split into that way since the November 2021 reorganisation (see also: [1]). As for Mediaset España... Didn't think about that.

Since I'm not that fluent in Dutch, I can only give some rough directions.

• The Mediaset article can focus on Italy-specific activities and history.
• Mediaset España can focus on Spain-specific activities and history.
• Overview of the group's current international holdings, and some history stuffs (including earlier international expansions [Telecinco in Spain, La cinq in France, and Tele 5 in Germany], acquisition of stakes in ProSiebenSat.1 Media, and November 2021 reorganisation) go to the MFE - MediaForEurope article.

Naamswijziging van het artikel " Liga de Fútbol Profesional"

Ik roep de Gemeenschap op om de naam van het artikel over de Spaanse voetbalcompetitie "Liga de Fútbol Profesional" te veranderen in "LaLiga".

De naam "Liga de Fútbol Profesional" wordt niet meer gebruikt in 2015 en heeft een verwarrende gelijkenis met de Franse competitie, aangezien het dezelfde naam en afkorting heeft.

Op dit moment, en internationaal, heet de Spaanse competitie "LaLiga". Ik voeg een verwijzing bij naar de evolutie van de naam en het merk in een Engelstalige krant en betreur het dat het niet in het Nederlands is gepubliceerd:
