Het Oost-Aziatisch voetbalkampioenschap 2019 is een voetbaltoernooi voor nationale landenteams annex territoriumteams in de regio Oost-Azië en werd georganiseerd door de Oost-Aziatische voetbalbond (EAFF, East Asian Football Federation). Zuid-Korea is de titelverdediger.

Voordat het hoofdtoernooi begon werden er reeds 2 voorrondes gehouden. De eerste voorronde was in september 2018 en werd gehouden in Mongolië. De tweede voorronde was in november 2018 en werd gehouden in Chinees Taipei.[3] Op het hoofdtoernooi werd Zuid-Korea voor de vijfde keer winnaar van het toernooi.

Eerste voorronde[bewerken | brontekst bewerken]

De eerste voorronde werd gehouden in juli 2018 in Mongolië. Het is de eerste keer dat er voor dit toernooi wedstrijden in dit land gespeeld werden.[4] In augustus 2018 werd bekend dat de wedstrijden gespeeld zouden worden in het MFF Football Centre. Op datzelfde moment werd het speelschema bekendgemaakt met wedstrijden op 2, 4 en 9 september 2018.[5]
