Schaal Sels 2016[brontekst bewerken]
Waarvoor dank, Queeste (overleg) 26 nov 2016 20:47 (CET)
Schaal Sels[brontekst bewerken]
Hi Katlijn. I work on the French Wikipedia and illustrate races. I do the 2015 edition of the race but not the 2016 (I was wounded because a vehicle collided me while riding bike twelve days before). Have you photos of previous editions of the race ? I ask because thanks to Wikidata I am able to generate article in numerous languages. I hope you will find this message. You can contact me on this page. Jérémy-Günther-Heinz Jähnick (overleg) 11 dec 2016 13:42 (CET)
- Hi. I see on Facebook you have worked for the organisation of the Schaal Sels. I just want to say (and it is difficult for me to explain because in France we only speak French) that if the organisers want to develop the history of the race on Wikipedia, they can upload the photos they have take by the past on Wikimedia Commons. I live at 12 km for the fr:Grand Prix de Denain. As you can see, we have an articles for each edition, and now, it is more easy to work with more language, for example, with fr:Gand-Wevelgem 1998 an user from the Demnark has written da:Gent-Wevelgem 1998 easily because the code is easy and all the datas have been stored on Wikidata. You can speak of this to the organisers. On my side, I can enter datas since 1999 with Cqranking or 2007 with ProCyclingStats but I know we sometimes found informations on less known articles. Cycling archives only gives the three firsts. I can find good surprises, example here. And as you can see on the article about the GP van Denain, it is very easy to make cartography. Jérémy-Günther-Heinz Jähnick (overleg) 13 dec 2016 16:20 (CET) Little example on fr:Coupe Sels 1980 where datas are displayed with Wikidata. On Internet, we are able to find enough datas to write a little article. Imagine some photos added by organisers and translations in other languages, and it will be perfect. I think it is even possible to find a roadbook from this edition with its cartography. Jérémy-Günther-Heinz Jähnick (overleg) 13 dec 2016 18:38 (CET)
