EWM-NL edit a thon Eindhoven 3 november 2023

European Women in Mathematics

As an initiative of EWM-NL, European Women in Mathematics – Netherlands, this gender-gap project is running since 2021. The purpose is to add, extend, and translate pages of (mostly) women mathematicians. Although initiated from The Netherlands, the participants communicate in English.

Valentijn Karemaker proposed the project, which was run in 2021 by Anne-Men Huijzer. She was succeeded in 2022 by Maria Vlasiou. In 2023 Hester Breman took over the coördination of the project from Vlasiou. The contributors have online monthly meetings. In addition, they communicate using Slack.

On November 3, 2023 the first edit-a-thon was organized during the annual event of EMN-NL at the TU/e Eindhoven.
