- NEW: Participate in a survey that helps us prioritize which tools are important for the Wikimedia Commons and Wikidata communities. The survey runs until December 22. Here's some background.
- NEW: Help the team decide on better names for 'captions' and 'descriptions'. You can provide input until January 3, 2018.

- We are still welcoming (more) staff from GLAMs (Galleries, Libraries, Archives and Museums) to become part of our long-term focus group (phabricator task T174134). You will be kept in the loop of the project, and receive regular small surveys and requests for feedback. Get in touch with Sandra if you're interested - your input in helping to shape this project is highly valued!
- Research
- Research findings from interviews and surveys of GLAM project participants are being published to the research page. Check back over the next few weeks as additional details (notes, quotes, charts, blog posts, and slide decks) will be added to or linked from that page.
- The Structured Commons team has written and submitted a report about the first nine months of work on the project to its funders, the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation. The 53-page report, published on November 1, is available on Wikimedia Commons.
- The team has started working on designs for changes to the upload wizard (T182019).
- We started preliminary work to prototype changes for file info pages.
- Work on the MediaInfo extension is ongoing (T176012).
- The team is continuing its work on baseline metrics on Commons, in order to be able to measure the effectiveness of structured data on Commons. (T174519)
- Upcoming: in the first half of 2018, the first prototypes and design sketches for file pages, the UploadWizard, and for search will be published for discussion and feedback!

- The filters are now deployed as a default feature on all wikis on RecentChanges and RecentChangesLinked pages.
- The filters are still available as a Beta feature on all wikis on Watchlists. Please try them!
- LiveUpdates have been deployed as a default feature for all wikis.
- On wikis using Extension:Translate, translated messages can now be filtered. System messages can be filtered as well, on all wikis. [1]
- "Toon nieuwe wijzigingen sinds $1" link is now more prominent, to invite users to use that native feature to update the list of results. [2]
- Pagination and time period selectors are now combined and located on the right on left-to-right wikis. [3]
- When a user wanted to click outside of the filter menu to close it, it was possible to click on "revert" link by accident. It is not possible anymore. [4]

Kopje[brontekst bewerken]
Hallo Mbch331, ik zag dat je boven het verweer van mijn opponent een kopje had geplaatst met daarin mijn gebruikersnaam. Daardoor ontstaat de schijn dat opponent ook een blokverzoek indiende tegen mij. Ik lees dat niet zo, ik lees de geplaatste reactie als een verweer tegen mijn blokkade verzoek voor hem. Exact dezelfde tekst plaatste hij namelijk ook op zijn OP. Als hij inderdaad een blokverzoek tegen mij wil indienen dan zal hij sowieso met een geldig argument moeten komen, plus een bijbehorende notificatie op mijn OP horen te plaatsen. In het kader van WP:WQ (het veranderen van andermans commentaar het wordt afgeraden) heb ik het kopje daarom verwijderd. - Ik had het wel geïnterpreteerd als een apart blokverzoek, vandaar het kopje. En ik vermoed dat de gebruiker niet de volledige procedure kent. Ik had je bewerking gezien en al besloten er verder niets aan te doen. - Mogelijk is dat zo, het hoort gewoon niet om andermans bewerkingen te wijzigen. Als hij dat wél wenst kan hij dat doen zoals het hoort. Met andere woorden, ook een kennisgeving op mijn OP. Ik heb in het verleden wel gezien dat blokverzoeken die ondeugdelijk waren meteen werden afgewezen. Ik heb gebruiker op zijn OP nogmaals uitleg en advies gegeven over die aantijgingen (WP:AGF!) waarmee hij op de proppen komt. Hem ook geadviseerd om op de wiki van zijn eigen taal een artikel te schrijven. Via vertaalproject een aanvraag te doen. Enfin, het ligt er gewoon dik bovenop dat hij een artikel over zichzelf aan het schrijven is, of dat hij iemand is die daarvoor betaald wordt. Er zit in elk geval belangenverstrengeling achter. Als ik een beroep doe op zijn integriteit, verwacht ik een andere reactie dan valse aantijgingen. Ik heb hem gevraagd of hij wil terugkomen op die woorden. Rode raaf (overleg) 25 dec 2017 09:44 (CET)
Beveiliging overleg gewenst[brontekst bewerken]
Hallo Mbch331, je beveiligde net "Overleg gewenst" vanwege een BWO. Ik begrijp je goede intenties, maar het gevolg is nu wel dat er vandaag alleen verzoeken kunnen worden geplaatst middels een bericht op de OP van de projectpagina. Met andere woorden: willekeurige gebruikers moeten boeten voor de eigenwijsheid van in feite maar één gebruiker: ik zie geen spoor van overleg met Ellywa door die gebruiker, alleen autoritair terugdraaien.
Zou je willen overwegen om alsnog een waarschuwing te geven aan een of meer gebruikers, maar de beveiliging op te heffen? Ik ben zometeen weg, en pas vanavond laat weer online, maar ik geef het nog even ter overweging. Fijne Kerst, WIKIKLAAS overleg 25 dec 2017 11:21 (CET)
- Er is inmiddels overleg opgestart tussen TheBanner en Vinvlugt (diegenen die betrokken waren bij de BWO). Ik heb daarom de beveiliging opgeheven en op de OP waar het overleg plaatsvond aangegeven dat een nieuwe bwo lijdt tot blokkades. Mbch331 (Overleg) 25 dec 2017 11:38 (CET)
Beste Mbch331, U hebt het artikel over Tony Willems van de verwijdering bevrijd en aan Sonuwe toevertrouwd. Dat is goed, hoewel ik bij u mijn onvrede wil bevestigen over het feit dat dit meer dan zes jaar oude artikel werd verwijderd. In de discussie die werd gevoerd maakte een gebruiker zelfs de onnozele opmerking dat de beschreven persoon niet E was. Niet alleen toont dat aan hoe ver sommige Nederlanders van Vlaanderen verwijderd zijn, maar ook hoe sommige gebruikers zich willen doen gelden op gebieden waar ze niets van af weten. Het artikel beantwoordt aan alle regels van Wikipedia. De razende snelheid waarmee Natuur12 het artikel verwijderde, nog voor de termijn verstreken was, doet me vermoeden dat hier méér achter zit. Dat hij hierbij, als enig 'argument', verwees naar de inhoudloze kritiek van Wikiklaas, versterkt me in dit vermoeden. Op Wikipedia, ook onder de moderators, huizen gebruikers die geen vertrouwen verdienen. Gezien er geen regelmatige bevestiging meer gebeurt, is dit een toestand waar men zich nog moeilijk kan tegen verzetten. Men zou verhopen dat de moderatoren zelf de scherpslijpers en onverstandigen onder hen zouden in toom houden, wanneer ze misbruik maken van de 'knopjes', maar ik zie helaas niet dat dit gebeurt. met beste groeten, Andries Van den Abeele (overleg) 25 dec 2017 11:44 (CET)
- Hoezo was de termijn nog niet verstreken? De TBP pagina waar het artikel op stond was Toegevoegd 09/12; af te handelen vanaf 23/12. Het artikel is verwijderd op 23 dec 2017 19:18. Dus Natuur12 heeft zich keurig aan de termijn gehouden. Als je het niet eens bent met de verwijderreden van Natuur12 dan moet je dan op zijn OP aankaarten en als he van mening bent dat er sprake is van misbruik, dan is daar de afzettingsprocedure voor. Schending van de auteursrechten (artikel Therapiehond)[brontekst bewerken]
Beste heer/mevrouw,
Ik zie dat mijn artikel "Therapiehond" verwijdert is gezien de schending van auteursrechten. Een alinea zou direct overeen komen met de website Praatjes met Pootjes. Echter is Praatjes met Pootjes mijn eigen website en klopt het dat ik elementen uit mijn website voor dit artikel heb gebruikt. Dit komt omdat ik gedurende de opstart van mijn website (in juni 2017) veel informatie heb verzameld over dit onderwerp. Graag wil ik de therapiehond meer onder de aandacht brengen bij cliënten en professionals, waardoor ik hier tevens over blog. Mijn intentie om dit op Wikipedia te plaatsen, was dan ook om mensen meer bekend te maken met het concept "de therapiehond". Dit zou namelijk een waardevolle aanvulling zijn in hulpverleningswereld. Graag zou ik zien dat mijn artikel gewoon gepubliceerd kan worden, zo nodig met enige aanpassingen. Mochten jullie bewijs nodig hebben dat Praatjes met Pootjes mijn website is, dan mogen jullie mij een mail sturen naar infopraatjesmetpootjes.nl en reageer ik hier op met de gevraagde informatie. Ik heb veel tijd en moeite in het artikel zitten en hoop dat ik snel in overleg kan met jullie.

- Er is voor ons niet vast te stellen of een gebruiker ook daadwerkelijk de auteur is van een tekst zoals beweerd wordt. We hebben hiervoor een procedure om te zorgen dat dit allemaal juist wordt vastgelegd. Op Wikipedia:OTRS/Mijn eigen tekst kunt u de juiste procedure lezen. Echter voor u de moeite gaat nemen, wil ik u er ook op wijzen dat dit niet het enige probleem was met het artikel. De auteursrechtenschending was alleen de reden om het per direct te verwijderen in plaatst van te wachten tot de 2 weken voorbij waren. Hartelijk dank voor uw reactie. Dat begrijp ik, hiervoor heb ik inderdaad de geldende procedure zojuist gevolgd en vraag ik u hierom de verwijdering van het artikel ongedaan te maken. Ik had al vernomen dat het artikel ter beoordeling op de verwijderingslijst stond, maar gezien de termijn van 2 weken had ik mij voorgenomen aanpassingen te doen, zodat het artikel alsnog gepubliceerd kon worden. Nu kan ik er helemaal niet meer aan werken, doordat deze reeds verwijdert is. Graag zou ik willen voldoen aan de voorwaarden van Wikipedia gezien dit artikel, want ik vind het van groot belang dat dit onderwerp op de kaart wordt gebracht. - Het is wachten tot iemand van het OTRS-team de toestemmingsmail afgehandeld heeft. Pas dan mag het artikel teruggeplaatst worden. Mbch331 (Overleg) 28 dec 2017 14:42 (CET)
- Ik heb een (best wel uitgebreid) antwoord gestuurd, met een eerste uitleg, advies en mogelijke oplossingen. Misschien komt er een andere tekst, die beter in een encyclopedie past, heel misschien wijzigt de licentie op die website, mocht er een verzoek tot terugplaatsing komen, dan meld ik mij wel op WP:TERUG. ed0verleg 28 dec 2017 17:11 (CET)
