Cowpunk of countrypunk is een subgenre van punkrock dat begon in Zuid-Californië (vooral Los Angeles) in de jaren tachtig. Het genre combineert punk met voornamelijk country, maar ook met folk en blues. Het heeft zijn wortels in genres als countryrock en folkrock.
