Robert Vaughn

Robert Vaughn

Robert Francis Vaughn (New York, 22 november 1932) is een Amerikaans acteur en regisseur, die al meer dan 200 film -en tv rollen vertolkte. Vaughn is al sinds het midden van de jaren '50 actief. Zijn regiewerk bleef beperkt tot het regisseren van 2 afleveringen van televisieseries.

Een bekende rol van Vaughn is die van Napoleon Solo in de actieserie The Man from U.N.C.L.E.. Ook speelde hij Harry Rule in The Protectors en was hij te zien als gepensioneerd generaal Hunt Stockwell in het laatste seizoen van The A-Team. Hij speelde belangrijke rollen in films als The Magnificent Seven, Bullitt, The Bridge at Remagen, The Towering Inferno en Superman III. Gastrollen speelde hij onder meer in Columbo, Hawaii Five-O, The Love Boat, Murder, She Wrote , Law & Order en The Nanny. In de laatste serie was hij tweemaal te zien als James Sheffield, de vader van Maxwell Sheffield. Meer recent speelde hij Albert Stroller in de serie Hustle.

Sinds 29 juni 1974 is Vaughn getrouwd met Linda Staab, ze hebben twee kinderen.
