Lijst van communistische partijen

Er zijn een aantal communistische partijen die actief zijn in verschillende landen over de hele wereld, en een aantal die vroeger actief zijn.

Partijen die op dit moment en uitsluitend het trotskisme als ideologie hebben zijn niet meegenomen.

Regerende partijen

•  Cuba - Communistische Partij van Cuba, geleid door Raúl Castro.
•  Cyprus - Progressieve Partij van de Arbeiders, leidt de regeringscoalitie.
•  Nepal - Verenigde Communistische Partij van Nepal (Maoïstisch), Communistische Partij van Nepal (Verenigd Marxistisch-Leninistisch) en Communistische Partij van Nepal (Verenigd), leiden de regeringscoalitie.

Communistische partijen als onderdeel van een andere regerende coalitie

•  Brazilië - Communistische Partij van Brazilië neemt deel aan de regerende coalitie.
•  Oekraïne - Communistische Partij van Oekraïne neemt deel aan de regerende coalitie.
•  Peru - Peruaanse Communistische Partij neemt deel aan de regerende coalitie.
•  Sri Lanka - Communistische Partij van Sri Lanka neemt deel aan de regerende coalitie.
•  Syrië - Syrische Communistische Partij (Bakdash), Syrische Communistische Partij (Verenigd) neemt deel aan de regerende coalitie.
•  Uruguay - Communistische Partij van Uruguay neemt deel aan de regerende coalitie.
•  Zuid-Afrika - Zuid-Afrikaanse Communistische Partij neemt deel aan de regerende coalitie.
